A greenhouse is, by definition, an enclosed structure with a controlled environment for the production of vegetables. We proposed to deconstruct the material and symbolic function of a greenhouse by inverting its definition: our structure is open and nurtures the uncontrolled environment around it. This project departs from the use of greenhouse components and gardening elements to create a technological ruin that questions Western’s hegemonic paradigm of control over nature.
